Model United Nations

Dear Prospective Delegates,

YLSBC MUN since its dawn has aimed to arm delegates with the experience and skills needed to be able to combat the brutality of modern society. 2026 is a special year, as it will be a vast improvement from last year, which was our first time after a long time. As the Secretary General, I am proud to announce, in line with the Secretariat team, that we are hosting 2 committees this year, with 2 topics that will allow all of you to witness the complexity of the new millennium’s dawn.

Delegates will first-hand be in control of the decisions that are necessary to foster peace, brainstorming ideas that will lead to the rise and fall of alliances and empires, but will also dive into the mysterious realm of subversive activities in times of conflict. SOCHUM will aim to solve the issue of minority violence in the battlefield of world society, and the all new Disney Crisis committee will see delegates operate in a whole new realm of debate, outside of the primary UN structure.

We, along with the Board of Directors fully believe and encourage delegates to step out of their comfort zone this iteration and pursue something that hasn’t been pursued before, as every action one takes only will benefit oneself.
